Profile Options

Grooved Decking Decking boards with parallel grooves running along the surface.

Designed to improve water runoff and reduce slipping.Offers a classic look that’s commonly used in traditional garden decks. The grooves can also help with expansion and contraction in varying weather

Reeded Decking

Decking boards with raised, rounded ridges (the opposite of grooves) – like little “reeds” running along the surface.

Primarily decorative, offering a more refined and formal look.May help reduce surface contact (and thus slipperiness), but less effective for drainage than grooved boards.

PAR (Planed All Round)

Timber boards that have been planed smooth on all sides.

Contemporary decking where a clean, modern look is desired.Low-maintenance decks when treated/sealed properly, as there’s less chance for debris buildup compared to grooved boards.

Opepe Hardwood Decking from East Brothers

When strength, longevity, and performance matter, Opepe is the go-to hardwood for exterior decking. At East Brothers, we supply Opepe decking cut to order — delivering a premium-quality product at competitive rates, with all the durability of tropical hardwood and none of the compromise.

Why Choose Opepe Decking?

  • Exceptional Durability
Naturally resistant to rot, decay, insect attack, and moisture — Opepe is ideal for exposed decking areas, including heavy footfall spaces, commercial terraces, boardwalks, and marina platforms.

  • Stable & Dense
With a high density and excellent dimensional stability, Opepe outperforms many other hardwoods, particularly in challenging outdoor environments. It resists warping and splitting, even in varied climates.

  • Low Maintenance
Opepe weathers to an attractive silver-grey if left untreated, or it can be oiled to retain its golden-brown tone. It requires minimal upkeep compared to softwood or composite alternatives.

  • Cut to Order
We machine decking boards in-house to your required dimensions and profile — including anti-slip and grooved options on request. Whether for domestic projects or large commercial builds, we’ll supply consistent, precision-cut boards ready to install.

  • Competitive Pricing
Despite being a hardwearing tropical hardwood, our direct supply and efficient processing mean Opepe decking is surprisingly cost-effective, offering excellent value for long-term performance.
