#autumn - The Autumn weather is in full swing, te #autumn - The Autumn weather is in full swing, temperatures dropping and the much needed rain has finally arrived. With autumn you really do start to notice the autumn colours, a palette of warm earthy tones, most notably the vibrant reds, oranges, yellows and browns seen in the changing leaves 🍁 🍂 - Why though? - For most of the year, the green pigment chlorophyll masks these other colours in the leaves. As the days shorten in autumn the chlorophyll breaks down, this breakdown reveals the yellow and orange pigments called carotenoids and xanthophylls.
