We supply many different types of Hardwood and Softwood products. We strive to source our timber locally, most of our home grown material is sourced on average within 60 miles of our sawmill. We do however responsibly import timber from Europe, Africa & South America.
Construction Grade Timber
East Brothers specialises in saw milling construction-grade timber, offering both hardwood and softwood options. We can cut exceptionally large beams up to 14 meters in length, with maximum widths and heights reaching 650mm, depending on the timber species. For softwoods, Douglas Fir is commonly used, valued for its strength and versatility in construction. Our hardwood options typically include Oak, known for its durability and aesthetic appeal, as well as tropical hardwoods like Opepe, which is highly resistant to decay and ideal for demanding environments. For more modern architectural finishes, we offer precisely machined profiles including shiplap, tongue & groove, and shadow gap, providing clean lines and consistent detailing.

Timber Flooring
Wood flooring is an increasingly popular feature for any home, offering both aesthetic appeal and durability as an attractive alternative to carpet or stone. At East Brothers, we provide premium timber flooring options, including our very popular engineered flooring, which we stock pre-packaged in boxes, ready to be laid in your home. Our engineered flooring can be supplied pre-oiled for immediate use or unoiled, allowing you to add your own finishing touch.
Additionally, we can machine solid wood flooring to your exact specifications, creating a perfectly bespoke floor.

Sawn Timber
At East Brothers we offer fresh sawn timber that is perfectly versatile and tailored to your exact needs. You can choose the species and size specifications, and as long as we can source the timber, we can cut whatever you require. The most common species we work with include Douglas fir, larch, and Western red cedar in softwoods, while Oak and Opepe are typical choices for hardwoods. Timber Decking
East Brothers supplies a variety of bespoke decking profiles to suit your needs. Our most popular decking option is Opepe, an exceptionally durable, marine-stable hardwood that requires no treatment and offers a long life cycle. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a low-maintenance, long-lasting solution.
We also offer decking in other species, including Douglas Fir, a more affordable alternative to Opepe. While Douglas Fir is a fantastic product, it is less durable and will require treatment to ensure longevity—a service we can assist with if needed. Whether you’re looking for premium or cost-effective decking solutions, East Brothers has the perfect option for your project.
