Western Red Cedar

At East Brothers, we’ve been working with Western Red Cedar since the 1970s. Imported North American Western Red Cedar or Homegrown, we can offer both!

Western Red Cedar

Why use Western Red Cedar

This timber has quickly gained recognition for its remarkable durability, natural resistance to decay, and attractive reddish-brown hue with a fine, straight grain. Western Red Cedar is highly valued for outdoor applications, including cladding, decking, and garden structures.

We believe cladding is the ideal use for this timber, as its clean aesthetic and charm make it a perfect fit. Homegrown varieties offer more character with their knots, while the North American counterpart is far less knotty.

Our experienced team is here to help you make the most of Western Red Cedar for your specific needs. Don’t hesitate to contact us for expert advice and guidance on your timber project.
